Back Button

Your Back Button is the most important control in your Web Browser. It allows you to retrace your path through the Web Pages that you have already visited.

Look for your Back Button now, but do not click on it yet. It is probably near the top left of your Web Browser window, is square or rectangular, and has on it either the word "Back", or an arrow or other symbol pointing to the left.

Each time you click on your Back Button, your Web Browser should take you back to the place where you were the last time you clicked on a link.

If you become lost while browsing any Web Page then you should click on your Back Button to return to a familiar place to get your bearings.

Live Web Page

When you see the phrase "Live Web Page", it means a Web Page on the Internet that is probably part of somebody else's Web Site.

Live Web Pages are vulnerable to sabotage and monitoring. For these reasons, I often accompany a link to Live Web Pages with a Cached Web Page or a Cached Text Only link, which are copies on my site of the same information. You can view the copy on my site if you are unable or unwilling to view the Live Web Page, especially if you are Viewing This Site From Disk. If you do this then the probability is higher that you will see what I intended you to see.

If you can't view a page, and I did not provide a copy of the page on my site, then I recommend that you do a Google search for it. If Google finds it then you could click on Google's own "Cached" copy of the page.

"COINTELPRO" was the name of an FBI Counterintelligence program, until 1971 when it was discovered and ended. Actually only the FBI's use of that name ended. The activities continue.

Media Establishment

The Media Establishment is dominated by a few large media companies that provide news and other information by TV, radio, print, and Internet outlets that they own. Most people get their news from it, so it is an important part of the Media Matrix.

The Bad Guys control what these Blue Pill Persons think by controlling what the Media Establishment reports, and how. For examples of this control, see the example News Events. Notice that in many cases there was a great difference between what actually happened and how the Media Establishment reported it, if it reported it at all.



Political Establishment

The Political Establishment is an important part of the Media Matrix. In the United States of America it includes:

Notice also that the Waco Cover Up includes some of the better examples of bipartisan cooperation that can be found. Surveillance

The monitoring of the activities of particular persons or organizations to collect Intelligence about them is called "Surveillance". Surveillance is usually done Secretly and without the consent of the people being surveilled, because if they knew then they might use countermeasures.

There are many ways to do Surveillance. People can follow you on foot or in motor vehicles. They can monitor your electronic communications in telephone conversations, faxes, E-mail, Web activity, and chat rooms. They can put microphones and cameras in your home or office to hear and watch what you do. You probably already know at least a little about these types of Surveillance.

But here I describe some types of Surveillance about which you probably have not heard. They are more exotic, use higher technology, and are more powerful. They are ways of monitoring your activities in your home or office without the need to enter them to install Surveillance devices. And because of these things, they are much more Secret.

Computer Surveillance With TEMPEST

Computers radiate light waves and radio waves when they are on. It is called TEMPEST radiation.

The radio waves from a video display are strong. They are strong enough that one person has written a program that uses it to play music on a nearby AM radio (Live Web Page: here).

More importantly, TEMPEST radiation can be used for Surveillance of your computer. They can use it to read what is on your computer's video display, or the keys that you press on your keyboard, or any other electronic circuit that works by Scanning.

They can do it from a van out in the parking lot, or from a nearby building. So you have no evidence that it is happening.

It sounds amazing, but it is true. It works because the TEMPEST radiation from your computer depends systematicly on the image that is being displayed on it's video display and the combination of keyboard keys that are up or down.

Bad Guys / Perps

These are the ones who commit many of the terrible crimes described in this Web site. Some of them are very powerful, and use the Media Matrix to keep their crimes Secret.

Many of their victims refer to the Bad Guys as "Perps", which is short for "Perpetrators".

Do not be confused by other meanings. People use these terms in different ways. To a homicide detective, it means the murderers that he is trying to catch. To agents in the DEA (the Drug Enforcement Agency), it means drug dealers and drug users. But to us, it means those that do terrible Evil and use the Media Matrix to hide it.

How do we defeat the Bad Guys? Normally to defeat an enemy, first one identifies the enemy, and second one attacks it. But we can not do that. Not enough people agree about the Bad Guys' Identity.

We don't know exactly who they are. But we do know how they work. They depend on the Media Matrix to keep their Secrets. So the Media Matrix is our first target. And one of our weapons will be the Truth Distribution Network.

Exactly who are the Bad Guys?

The evidence from News Events indicates that their power is international in scope. They commit terrible crimes against people in many different countries, including the United States. So it is clear that the Bad Guys owe allegiance to no particular country, and are enemies of the entire world.

The question of their identity is an important question, and eventually it must be answered. But the Bad Guys are well hidden, so people now waste much time arguing about it. The Bad Guys use the Media Matrix to promote these disagreements, because they know that we can not fight them if we are fighting each other.

Cached Web Page

When you see the phrase "Cached Web Page", it means a copy of a Web Page that I saved from somebody else's Web Site and put on my site. I do this because Live Web Pages sometimes change or disappear from the Internet.

A Cached Web Page usually looks similar to the original Live Web Page, but sometimes is not fully functional. For example, graphics might be missing, and some links might not work. But Cached Web Pages usually work well enough to be readable.

Because of space limitations, you can not view Cached Web Pages if you are viewing this site from a floppy disk (F-Edition)". A floppy disk does not have enough space for them. But they are on all the other editions.

Cached Text Only

When you see the phrase "Cached Text Only", it means a copy of the text only that I saved from somebody else's Web Page and put on my site. I do this because Live Web Pages sometimes change or disappear from the Internet.

The Cached Text Only from pages does not show the colors, fonts, formatting, or other decoration of the original pages. But they are readable at least, and they occupy less data storage than Cached Web Pages.

Evil

There are some things that are considered Evil by almost every adult on the planet, regardless of race, religion, or sex. These things include killing, hurting, or taking, innocent persons or their property, or protecting other people that do these things.

In this Web Site, when I talk about stopping Evil, I mean finding and exposing the people that do those things, and bringing them to Justice.

Justice

Most people are good people with a sense of Justice. People with a sense of Justice believe either:

In either case, Justice means that Evil is not tolerated.

Do not be confused by perversions of the word "Justice", such as what is sometimes practiced by various government "Justice" departments. For example, what the US Department of Justice failed to do to the people that mass murdered Branch Davidians in the Waco Incident, and what it did do to some of the few Branch Davidians that survived, are both miscarriages of Justice.

Secret

Everybody knows what a secret is. People try to keep something a secret when they do not want other people to know about it.

There are many things that people try to keep secret. Keeping secrets can be good or bad. But here we are mainly interested in what the Bad Guys try to keep secret from us. Some of these things are:

Secret About A Secret

Somebody that protects somebody else that committed a crime is guilty also, guilty of being an accessory to that crime. The original crime is the original Secret. But the Cover, itself a crime, also must be kept secret. It is a Secret About A Secret.

Cover

A cover is a tool for keeping Secrets. A cover is something that hides something else. A "cover up" is an operation that creates a cover.

Most covers are designed to be uninteresting and not attract attention. But some are designed to be interesting and attract attention. The attractive ones are called "Decoys".

Intelligence And Counterintelligence

Knowledge is power.

Intelligence is the gathering of information that is useful to you, or the information that is gathered. Counterintelligence is interference in your opponents' Intelligence.



Intelligence

Knowledge is power. Intelligence is the gathering of information useful to your activities, or the information that is gathered.

When most people think of Intelligence operations they think of government agencies such as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). But in fact every individual and organization wants Intelligence services, whether or not they use that word, because they all want information.

Individuals want information about the best deals at the store, what different jobs pay, and what politicians best represent their interests. Companies want information about the markets in which they buy and sell, and about their competitors. Political organizations want information about what voters think, and about what other political organizations are doing.

The news media are supposed to be the people's Intelligence service. They are supposed to report to us the events that affect us, or might affect us in the future. Unfortunately most of the Media Establishment has been corrupted and is actually working for the Bad Guys as a Counterintelligence service. This is why we need a Truth Distribution Network.

There are many ways of collecting Intelligence. It can be collected openly from public sources by attending public events, watching television, listening to radio, and reading newspapers. It can be collected from sources without their consent by monitoring electronic communications such as telephone, fax, E-mail, Web activity, and chat rooms, and by monitoring signals from hidden microphones and cameras.

The monitoring of the activities of particular persons or organizations to collect Intelligence about them is called "Surveillance".

How can you know that somebody has gathered Intelligence about you? In general you can not. Intelligence can be gathered without leaving any Direct Evidence of it. But if somebody acts upon the Intelligence gathered then he might give you some Circumstantial Evidence of it.

Counterintelligence activities against you can not be done without gathering Intelligence about you first. Intelligence must be gathered to decide whether Counterintelligence activity is needed, and to decide against whom the activity is to be directed, and when, and where, and how. So if you have Proof of Counterintelligence activities against you, then you automaticly have Proof that Intelligence was gathered to make those Counterintelligence activities possible.



Counterintelligence

Counterintelligence services interfere with the delivery of an adversary's Intelligence information. Everything that a Counterintelligence service does is either deception or Harassment.

The Bad Guys consider you and me to be their adversaries. The Media Matrix is the huge Counterintelligence apparatus that they use to keep us from learning about the Evil things that they do, and eventually stopping them. It is Project Media Matrix's main target for neutralization.

There are many different Counterintelligence methods that they use against us.

People often take countermeasures if they learn that they are targets of Counterintelligence activities. So Counterintelligence activities are often disguised as other things. For example,

Fortune

In this Web Site, the word "Fortune" means the good things and bad things that happen to a person that are not completely under his control.

Some Fortune is luck. It is random events. But some Fortune is made, either by the person having that fortune or by other persons. Here we are interested mainly in how and why Fortune is manipulated by other persons.

Bad Fortune is used in Harassment operations. Both Good Fortune and Bad Fortune are used in Counterintelligence operations.



Good Fortune

Good Fortune is Fortune that we like. It is pleasant and desirable. It acts as a reward. This makes Good Fortune a useful Counterintelligence tool for causing somebody working for you to continue doing that work or to do more of it.

Consider the anchor persons of the major TV news networks of the Media Establishment. These networks are a major part of the Bad Guys' Counterintelligence services. It is doubtful that these persons would continue to read to us the lies and nonsense that they do every night if it were not for the millions of dollars worth of Good Fortune that they receive from their various employers.

Unusually Good Fortune can sometimes be a useful Counterintelligence tool for causing somebody working against you to stop doing that work or to do less of it, because Bad Fortune can act as a distraction. But generally Bad Fortune is a better choice for this. Bad Fortune works at least 2 ways. Not only is it a distraction, it also consumes the TI's resources.



Bad Fortune

Bad Fortune is Fortune that we don't like. It is unpleasant and undesirable. It acts as a punishment. This makes Bad Fortune a useful Counterintelligence tool for causing somebody working against you to stop doing it or to do less of it.

Bad Fortune can take many forms. It could be the ending of a life. It could be the theft or waste of resources that could have been put to productive use. It could be an annoying distraction. But whatever form it takes, for security reasons intentional Bad Fortune is usually disguised as bad luck, the normal breaks of life.

Unexplained Coincidence

An Unexplained Coincidence is a Coincidence Type for which there is no known explanation or cause.

The key word here is "known". Being an Unexplained Coincidence depends on who you ask. One person might have an explanation of a Coincidence, but another person might not.

A Coincidence usually begins it's life as an Unexplained Coincidence. But usually, after some investigation, it is reclassified as another type.



Explained Coincidence

An Explained Coincidence is a Coincidence Type for which there is an explanation for it's cause.

There are many types of explanations for Coincidences, but some explanations are better than others. Calling a Coincidence a Random Coincidence is the poorest explanation, but sometimes it is the only one available.



Random Coincidence

A Random Coincidence is a Coincidence Type for which there is no known cause except for random events. Most people think of the Random Coincidence when they hear the word "Coincidence".

An Arranged Coincidence is often labeled a Random Coincidence because the person that arranged it does not want you to know that is was arranged.

Some people believe that there is no such thing as a Random Coincidence. They believe that every event has a nonrandom cause. As any pair of persons are related if you look back far enough in their ancestry, some people believe that if one investigates an event enough then a nonrandom cause can be found.

In a way, they are correct. For example, suppose someone tosses a coin 4 times and the coin lands with heads up all 4 times. In theory we could have predicted that it would happen. If we had the state of mind and body of the person tossing the coin, the exact size, shape, and other physical characteristics of the coin, the characteristics of the surface on which the coin would land, the air in the room, and had enough computer power to simulate it all, then we could have calculated before the person began the toss if the toss results would be 4 heads.

In practice, this is not possible. We do not have, and can not get, all the data and computing power that we need, at least not yet.

But the concept of Random Coincidence is a useful one. We can treat the coin tossing as a random process, and at least calculate the Probability that the toss results will be 4 heads. The Probability is 1/16, because there are 16 possible results of tossing a coin 4 times, but only one is all heads.



Beneficial Coincidence

A Beneficial Coincidence is a Coincidence Type from which somebody benefits. If somebody benefited from a Coincidence then the somebody had a Motive for causing it. In this case it might also be an Arranged Coincidence.

A Beneficial Coincidence is Circumstantial Evidence that the Coincidence was arranged by somebody. But it is not necessarilly Proof of it. You Can Not Find Coincidences To Prove Everything. Whether or not it is Proof, or a useful part of a Proof, depends on the Probability that the Beneficial Coincidence was only a Random Coincidence.



Arranged Coincidence

An Arranged Coincidence is a Coincidence Type in which the Coincidence is intentionally arranged or created.

People usually do things that benefit them. So an Arranged Coincidence is probably also a Beneficial Coincidence, and beneficial for the people that arranged it.

There are multiple ways to arrange a Coincidence. How it is done depends on what attributes the two events of the Coincidence should have in common. Usually the desired common attribute is time. This can be arranged by scheduling, or rescheduling, one event to coincide in time with the other, for example to happen on the same day.

I believe that most of the Beneficial Coincidence Examples that I describe elsewhere are Arranged Coincidences.



Noisy Coincidence

What I call a Noisy Coincidence is a complex Coincidence Type. It is a Coincidence on two levels.

A long Media Establishment article in the NY Times August 11, 2002, titled "The Odds of That" (Live Web Page: here) gives many examples of Coincidence, starting with the deaths of several microbiologists during the anthrax scare after the Attack On America 2001 Sep 11. The tone of the article is summarized by this quote.

The article gives some useful information about how to calculates the Probability of Coincidences. And it says indirectly that investigators use Coincidences to Discover The Past. But it's main purpose seems to be do debunk Coincidences, both in particular and in general. So I conclude that the Coincidences that it describes were Arranged Coincidences or Noisy Coincidences.

Finding The Truth

Getting accurate news will be easy when the Truth Distribution Network (TDN) is finished. But what do you do until then?

There are truthful news sources today. There are some good newspapers and other publications, and some good news oriented talk radio shows. Unfortunately they are often difficult to find and get. They are often small, specialized, available at inconvenient times, or not in your local area.

One of the best sources for accurate news is the World Wide Web on the Internet. There is also much inaccurate news there. But if you use your brain then you should be able to see the difference.

It is good mental exercize to analyse reports and try to differentiate the true statements from the false ones, the lies from the mistakes, the facts from the opinions, the actual reasons from Cover stories, the actual Bad Guys from the scapegoats, the important issues from the distractions, and incompetence from genuine evil. It is similar to detective work, and for some people it is fun.

How do you know when you have the truth?

This is a difficult question. It is much easier to answer a related question:

How do you know when you do not have the truth?

You know that you do not have truth when you have a contradiction. For example, if one report about the Waco Incident says that no one fired a shot at the Branch Davidians, and another report says that somebody did fire at the Branch Davidians, then you have a contradiction. One of these reports can not be true.

So one of the first things you should do to determine whether a report is true is to look for a contradictory report about the same event. If there is one then you should be able to find it on the Internet. If you can not find one anywhere then the original story is probably true.

Here are some ideas to help you decide.

Here are a few tips about finding the truth on the Internet.

A very good way to find things on the Internet is to use the Search Engines. One of the original search engines is Yahoo (Live Web Page: here). But there are many others. My favorite is Google.

I recommend that you not use a Search Engine's categories. Instead do a real search. Type words that describe your search into the box for search criteria and click the search button.

When you get a page of search results, the best ones should be near the top of the page. Click on each result to see whether the associated Web Page contains relevant information about your subject. If it does not then click your Back Button and try another. If you did not get good results then:

When you find a page that contains good information, bookmark it in your browser.

Finding the truth about your subject might require some time, but if you persist then you should eventually succeed. And when you finally find it, it will all make sense.

Web

The Web is the thing of which most people think when they hear the word "Internet". It is also known by the longer name "World Wide Web". The "www" that you see in many URLs comes from the name "World Wide Web".

The Web is a huge set of Web Pages located all over the world. What makes Web Pages a Web is the fact that the Web Pages are linked together. Each Web Page can have links to other Web Pages, and you can use those links to easilly go from one Web Page to another.



Web Page

Web Pages are what you see when you go Web Surfing. A Web Site consists of one or more Web Pages.

Because these pages sometimes change or disappear from the Internet, I reference and use several types of them.



Web Site

A Web Site is a collection of Web Pages managed by or for a single owner. A Web Site might have as few as one Web Page, or thousands.

A Web Site usually has one Web Page that is special. It is called the home page and can be reached with the simplest URL. My home page is here.

From the home page one can usually reach the other pages by clicking on visible links. The links are usually a color different from the regular text, are usually underlined, and are sometimes a different size.



Web Surfing

A Web Surfer is somebody that uses a Web Browser to view Web Pages. You are Web Surfing now.


Web Browser

A Web Browser is a computer program that a Web Surfer uses to view Web Pages. You are using a Web Browser now to view this page.

Search Engine [2004/08/10 updated]

A search engine is a system that searches for information.

To use a search engine you usually type words describing what you want to find and click a Search button. The search engine responds by displaying a list of search results. It is usually a list of links to the pages containing data that match your search criteria. The results are usually sorted or grouped in ways to make the results that are probably the most relevant the easiest to view.

The quality of search results can vary a lot, from very good to very bad. The results are good when the top results satisfy the users need for information. The results are bad when they are not. They can be bad for various reasons.



Universal Resource Locator (URL)

A Universal Resource Locator, abbreviated URL, is a name that uniquely identifies an Internet resource such as a Web Page.

To see an example of a URL, look for a rectangle filled with white and labeled "Location" or "Address" near the top of the Web Browser window at which you are looking now. You should see a string of characters there that contains the shorter string "m.htm".

The string of characters in the rectangle is the URL of the part of the Web Page that you most recently selected for viewing by clicking on a link. It changes each time you click on a link to a different page or part of a page.



Domain Name

A Domain Name is a name of a server computer on the Internet. Domain Names were created to make it easier for people to refer to particular computers on a network. A Domain Name is translated to a numeric IP Address before actual network communication with the computer happens.

A Domain Name is the Internet equivalent of the name associated with a telephone number. The IP Address is the Internet equivalent of the telephone number.

A Domain Name is usually represented by a sequence of words separated by dots. An example Domain Name is "www.WorldNetDaily.com".



IP Address

An IP Address is a number that specifies a computer connection to a network such as the Internet. You can think of it as the address of the computer on the network.

An IP Address is the Internet equivalent of a full telephone number, a number that includes an area code and a country code. Such a number is the address of a telephone connection to the global telephone network.

An IP Address is often represented by a sequence of four numbers separated by dots. An example IP Address is "192.168.1.1".

Every computer connected to the Internet has an IP Address, including Web Site computers and your computer, though your computer's IP Address might be a temporary one assigned when you connect to the Internet. If it is a temporary one then it will probably be different the next time you connect.



Port Number

A Port Number is a number that specifies a process or program that sends and receives packets in a computer connected to the Internet. Together with an IP Address, a Port Number specifies a complete source or destination Internet address of a Packet. The IP Address specifies a computer, and the Port Number specifies a thing inside the computer.

A Port Number is similar to a telephone extension number in a company connected to the telephone network. People at different extensions in the same company do different things. They all have the same telephone number but different extension numbers.

Here are some examples of standard Internet server Port Numbers for a few of the most common Internet applications.



Packet

Packets are the things that move from one place to another on the Internet. All data that moves on the Internet is carried inside Packets.

When you type the address of a Web Page such as Yahoo (Live Web Page: www.yahoo.com) into your Web Browser, your computer sends Packets to the Web Page server computer to request the Web Page, and the Web Page server sends Packets back to your computer containing the contents of the Web Page. When you send and receive E-mail, it travels in Packets. When you type your charge card number and a shipping address into your computer to buy something on the Internet, the information is sent in Packets. Everything that travels on the Internet travels in Packets.

In addition to the regular data inside a Packet, there is other data about to where the Packet is going, from where it came, and how it and related packets should be handled. This book keeping data includes:



Router

A Router is a computer that forwards Packets. A Router forwards a Packet in the case in which the Packet's source IP Address and destination IP Address are not on the same network and therefore the Packet can not reach it's destination in a single hop.

Most Routers connect two or more networks. The Internet is a network of many smaller networks connected together by Routers.

When a Router receives a Packet from one network that is supposed to be sent to, or through, another network to reach it's final destination IP Address, then the Router transmits the Packet to the second network.



Internet Service

Internet Service is access to the Internet. Internet Service is provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs).


Internet Service Provider (ISP)

An Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides access to the Internet.

There are two basic types. Your ISP is probably the second type.

Google

Google (Live Web Page: here) is an Internet Search Engine. It is my favorite, and in my opinion it is the best at finding nonpolitical information. Google's PageRank(TM) System makes it very good at producing relevant search results.

Unfortunately I can not recommend it for finding political information. Searches for politically sensitive news often produce poor results. This is probably true of most popular Search Engines.

Google's PageRank(TM) System

Google calculates Web Page ratings and sorts the target Web Page search results based on the numbers and ratings of other Web Pages that have links to the target pages that it finds. The theory is that if many people bother to link their Web Pages to a target Web Page, then the information on it must be useful. They call the system PageRank(TM), and explain it on their Web Site. (here). It has been my experience that the system produces excellent search results.


Google's Page Information System

If you type the URL of a Web Page into Google's Search box, Google will return a page allowing you to select and display information about the page.

If you ask for information about www.MadeUpWebSite.com, Google responds that it has no information on the page (Live Web Page: here, Cached Web Page: here).

But if you ask for information about a page about which Google has information, for example the page at http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2001/1/23/184026.shtml, which is a NewsMax.com article entitled "Bush Outlines Education Plan", then Google responds that it has information on the page (Live Web Page: here, Cached Web Page: here).

Google bilderberg.org Incident

Tony Gosling's site is bilderberg.org (Live Web Page: here). He reported (Live Web Page: here) about the delisting and downlisting of his entire site and individual pages by various Search Engines.

The first messages of an e-mail exchange (Live Web Page: here) with Google indicated that Google might have been an innocent victim of Hiding Web Pages From Search Engines. But later messages indicate the incident was the result of political manipulation of the search results inside Google.

Iris

The Iris is the part of the eye that gives the eye it's color. The black circular pupil in the center of the front of the eyeball is actually a hole in the Iris. It is the hole through which light passes to reach the retina which is the light sensitive membrane at the back of the eyeball.

It is the job of the Iris. to regulate the amount of light entering the eyeball. If the light stiking the eye becomes brighter, then muscle fibers in the Iris respond by contracting and making the pupil smaller. A different set of muscle fibers contract to make the pupil larger if the light striking the eye becomes darker.

Probability

Probability can be a very useful tool for making valid conclusions about events in which uncertainty is involved. In this section I describe how to use some basic ideas in Probability.

Probability can help you Predict The Future, to discover what will probably be the effect of a given cause. But also it can help you Discover The Past, to discover what was probably the cause of a given effect. For example, if you could Discover The Past, then you could conclude whether the Coincidence Involving Airplane Crashes is Random Coincidence or Arranged Coincidence. This type of capability is useful in investigations, and in the evaluation of the strength of Circumstantial Evidence used in Proofs.

First I will describe the Bags Of Colored Stones that we will use in our probability examples.

Next we will use these abbreviations to learn how to Predict The Future and Discover The Past.

Finally about the Coincidence Involving Airplane Crashes, I will show Proof That The Airplane Crashes Were Arranged.



Bags Of Colored Stones

We will use some white stones, some black stones, and two bags, in our Probability examples. All the stones feel the same, and the bags appear identical. We put 9 white stones and 1 black stone into one bag, and put 10 black stones into the other bag.

Now let us define some abbreviations.



Predict The Future

Let us try to predict the future using conditional Probability. Let us try to predict the color of the stones what we would pick from our Bags Of Colored Stones.

If you pick a stone without looking from the Mixed bag, then what is the probability that it will be a Black stone? It is:

    P(B|M) = 1/10 = 0.1 = 10%
because 1/10 of the stones in the Mixed bag are Black.

If you pick a stone without looking from the Mixed bag, then what is the probability that it will be a White stone? It is:

    P(W|M) = 9/10 = 0.9 = 90%
because 9/10 of the stones in the Mixed bag are White.

If you pick from the Mixed bag, then you can not be absolutely certain about the color of the stone that you pick. But the probability is high, 90%, that you will pick a White stone.

If you pick a stone without looking from the All black stone bag, then what is the probability of it being a Black stone? It is:

    P(B|A) = 10/10 = 1.0 = 100%
because all of the stones in the All black stone bag are Black.

If you pick a stone without looking from the All black stone bag, then what is the probability of it being a White stone? It is:

    P(W|A) = 0/10 = 0.0 = 0%
because none of the stones in the All black stone bag are White.

So if you pick from the All black stone bag, then you can be absolutely certain that you will pick a Black stone, and you will not pick a White stone.

Suppose somebody holds out to you one of the bags of 10 stones from which you are to pick, but does not say which bag it is, and does not allow you to look into the bag to discover for yourself. But he does say that the probability that this unknown bag is the Mixed bag is 40%, or

    P(M) = 0.4 = 40%

Because there are only two bags, the probability that this unknown bag is the All black stone bag is 60%, or

    P(A) = 0.6 = 60%

Suppose that you picked a stone from this unknown bag. What is the probability that the stone will be Black stone? What is the probability that the stone will be a White stone?

These questions can be answered, but getting an answer is more complcated because the answers depend on the probabilities of these two conditions:

The probability that the stone that is picked will be a Black stone is equal to the probability of picking a Black stone from the Mixed bag multiplied by probability of picking from the Mixed bag, plus the probability of picking a Black stone from the All black stone bag multiplied by the probability of picking from the All black stone bag. Or symbolicly:

    P(B) = P(B|M)P(M) + P(B|A)P(A)
         = (0.1)(0.4) + (1.0)(0.6)
         =    0.04    +     0.6
         = 0.64 = 64%

The probability that the stone that is picked will be White is equal to the probability of picking a White stone from the Mixed bag multiplied by probability of picking from the Mixed bag, plus the probability of picking a White stone from the All black stone bag multiplied by the probability of picking from the All black stone bag. Or symbolicly:

    P(W) = P(W|M)P(M) + P(W|A)P(A)
         = (0.9)(0.4) + (0.0)(0.6)
         =    0.36    +     0.0
         = 0.36 = 36%
Notice that
    P(W) + P(B) = 36% + 64% = 100%
because picking a White stone and picking a Black stone are the only possible results of picking a stone.

These probability formulas work for the simple cases also, when we know with certainty the bag from which we will pick a stone.

Knowing that we are picking from the Mixed bag is similar to the situation in which the probability of picking from the Mixed bag is 100% and the probability of picking from the All black stone bag is 0%, symbolically

    P(M) = 1.0 = 100% and P(A) = 0.0 = 0%.
If we use those values in our formulas then we get the probability that the stone that is picked will be a Black stone is
    P(B) = P(B|M)P(M) + P(B|A)P(A)
         = (0.1)(1.0) + (1.0)(0.0)
         =    0.1    +     0.0
         = 0.1 = 10% [which is equal to P(B|M)]

and the probability that the stone that is picked will be a White stone is:

    P(W) = P(W|M)P(M) + P(W|A)P(A)
         = (0.9)(1.0) + (0.0)(0.0)
         =    0.9     +     0.0
         = 0.9 = 90% , [which is equal to P(W|M)]

I have shown how conditional Probability can be used to Predict The Future. But it can be used to Discover The Past also, and in some cases be Proof of that past to a jury.

Let us use our Bags Of Colored Stones and probability to show how to Discover The Past.

Suppose somebody holds out to you one of the bags of 10 stones from which you are to pick, but does not say which bag it is, and does not allow you to look into the bag to discover for yourself. But he does allow you to reach into the unknown bag and take out a stone.

Suppose that you pick a White stone from the unknown bag. What is the probability that the unknown bag was the All black stone bag? It is:

    P(A|W) = 0.0 = 0%
It could not have been the All black stone bag because it contains only Black stones, and you picked a White stone.

What is the probability that the unknown bag was the Mixed bag? It is:

    P(M|W) = 1.0 = 100%
It must have been the Mixed bag because it is the only bag that contains any White stones, and you picked a White stone.

Supposed that you picked a Black stone from the unknown bag. What is the probability that the unknown bag was the All black stone bag? What is the probability that the unknown bag was the Mixed bag?

The unknown bag might have been either bag, because both bags contain at least one Black stone. So answering these questions is more complicated. We need to use conditional probability in reverse.

The probability of picking a Black stone from the Mixed bag is small. It is:

    P(B|M) = 0.1 = 10%

The probability of picking a Black stone from the All black stone bag is ten times as great. It is:

    P(B|A) = 1.0 = 100%
So it seems more probable that the the unknown bag was the All black stone bag.

The probability of picking a Black stone from the Mixed bag six times in a row is much smaller. If the stone is replaced in the bag and the bag is shaken before each pick, then each pick is independent of the previous pick, and the probability of picking a Black stone all six times is the product of the probabilities of the individual picks. The calculation is:

    P(6B|M) = (0.1)(0.1)(0.1(0.1)(0.1)(0.1) = 0.000001 = 0.0001%.

or one in a million. But the probability of picking a Black stone from the All black stone bag six times in a row is the same, again 1.0. The calculation is:

    P(6B|A) = (1.0)(1.0)(1.0)(1.0)(1.0)(1.0) = 1.0 = 100%

But now it is 1000000 (one million) times as great as the probability for the Mixed bag. So it is virtually certain that the unknown bag was the All black stone bag if a Black stone was picked from it six times in a row.

Electrophonic Sound

Electrophonic Sound is the perception of sound when electromagnetic radiation strikes the head. It is one explanation of Sound With Psychotronics.

Electrophonic Sound appears able to carry any sound. The principle is similar to how an AM radio station can transmit any sound by Amplitude Modulation of it's carrier wave. The subjects recognized the words.

I think that Electrophonic Sound is done by Neural Stimulation With Psychotronics of nerves in the cochlea of the inner ear or nerves in the auditory cortex in the brain.

Demonization

Most people are good and believe in Justice. That means that they believe that any Evil that a person does should not be rewarded, and probably should be punished.

So if you want to hurt somebody publicly, and you do not want good people to punish you for it, then you need to convince those good people that he is Evil and deserves to be hurt. This can be done with Demonization

Demonization is a type of deception. It is the act of making somebody appear much more Evil than he would appear otherwise.

If the Demonization is very convincing then you might be able to convince other people to help you do the hurting.

Demonization is also useful for creating and hiding miscarriages of Justice. A good example of this is the Demonization Of The Branch Davidians which is part of the Waco Cover Up.

Demonization can also be used in the creation and escalation of conflict and war. It is one of the reasons that there is so much violence around the world.

For example, if you want one group to fight with another group, you might be able to do it by the Demonization of the second group in the eyes of the first group, or the Demonization of the first group in the eyes of the second group, or both.

For example, you could murder some people in the first group, and tell the first group that the murder was committed by somebody in the second group. If people in the first group believe you, then maybe they will kill some people in the second group to get even. Next maybe the second group will kill more people in the first group to get even. If this cycle of violence repeats, then the conflict excalates. The Resumption Of Middle East Violence on 2000 Sep 28 and the ways it was reported, appear to be a good example of Demonization of both sides.

Demonization is deception. It can not work in a world of truth. One of the goals of Project Media Matrix and it's Truth Distribution Network (TDN) is to make it impossible for Demonization to work.

Proof

Proof is the effect of evidence, the establishment of fact by evidence. Proving that somebody commited a crime means showing enough evidence of it to convince a judge or jury.

There are two types of evidence that can be used as part of a Proof. They are Direct Evidence and Circumstantial Evidence.



Direct Evidence

One of the types of evidence that can be used as Proof that somebody committed a crime is Direct Evidence.

Direct Evidence is evidence of the actual events of a crime. For example, it can be testimony from an eyewitness of the crime. It can be a confession from the accused. It can be a mechanical recording of the crime, such as film or video tape.



Circumstantial Evidence

One of the types of evidence that can be used as Proof that somebody committed a crime is Circumstantial Evidence, also known as indirect evidence.

Circumstantial Evidence is not about the crime directly. It is about other events or circumstances that are improbable unless the accused actually committed the crime.

For example, maybe nobody saw the accused at the crime scene. But if fibers are found at the crime scene that match fibers from the clothes of the accused, then this Coincidence is Circumstantial Evidence that the accused was there. If the accused did not commit the crime, then an Unexplained Coincidence, or at best an improbable Random Coincidence, has happened. But if the accused did commit the crime, then it is an Explained Coincidence. The clothing fibers found at the crime scene fell from the accused's clothes while he was there, and caused the Coincidence.

If most of the evidence in a case is Circumstantial Evidence, then it is important to show that the accused had Motive, Opportunity, and Means to commit the crime.



Motive

A Motive is a reason for doing something. If a person can benefit from an activity then we say that the person has a Motive for engaging in the activity.

Proof of a persons guilt of a crime often requires showing Motive. This means showing that the accused believed that they would benefit by commiting the crime.

The important idea here is the idea of benefit.



Means

Means is simply the ability or set of methods used to do something.

Proof of guilt of a crime often requires showing Means, in other words, showing that the accused had the things needed to commit the crime, or the ability to get them somehow. The things might be skills, knowledge, or tools.

Showing that somebody accused of a crime had the Means to commit it means showing that a crime was done in a particular way, or could have been done that way, using particular knowledge and skills that the accused somebody had or could get.



Opportunity

Proof of guilt of a crime often requires showing Opportunity. This means showing that the correct circumstances were present for the accused to commit the crime. For example, the accused needed to be in the right place at the right time.

If the accused is somebody with extraordinary Means, showing Opportunity is less important. One might say that such a person can make his own Opportunity, by researching, planning, and making physical preparations, or by hiring other people to do these things.



Degree Of Proof

Some Proof is stronger that other Proof. There are two degrees of Proof with which people often deal. They are Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt and Proof by a Preponderance Of The Evidence.



Beyond A Reasonable Doubt

Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt is the higher Degree Of Proof. It is sometimes called "Proof to a moral certainty". It is the Degree Of Proof required to convict in criminal court cases.

In terms of Probability, Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt of something means a Probability of at least 95 to 99 % (per cent), or a Probability of it's opposite of at most 1 to 5 % (per cent). These numbers will vary depending on who you ask.



Preponderance Of The Evidence

Proof by a Preponderance Of The Evidence is the lower Degree Of Proof. It is called "probable cause" when used to justify the initiattion or continuation of an investigation.

In terms of Probability, Proof by a Preponderance Of The Evidence means a certainty of at least 50 % (per cent). In other words there is more evidence for something than against it.

Coincidence

A Coincidence is simply when two events have one or more things in common. A thing in common might be a time, a place, a person, or something else. In this Web Site we are usually interested in Coincidence in time, for example when two events happen on the same day.

The concept of Coincidence is important because Coincidences can be important pieces of Circumstantial Evidence that are part of a Proof.

Most people, when they hear the word "Coincidence", think of the Random Coincidence. But this is only one of several different Coincidence Types that I describe here. I describe also some Beneficial Coincidence Examples.
